ICRC representatives meet with Armenian POW
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with Armenian POW Hakob Injighulyan in Baku on November 25, Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs of the ICRC Yerevan Office, told Panorama.am.
Mrs Amatuni noted that a meeting with Injighulyan’s family members was held at the ICRC Yerevan Office, during which the POW’s letter was handed over to them.
“An exchange of letters took place,” she added.
On the night of August 7, Hakob Injighulyan, an Armenian citizen and an army conscript, crossed the Azeri border and was subsequently captured by Azeri soldiers. According to preliminary information, Injighulyan had lost his bearings on the terrain and inadvertently crossed the line of contact.
