Alexander Markarov on Eastern Partnership summit
The Armenian delegation in Vilnius is headed by President Serzh Sargsyan, which shows the importance of European integration to Armenia, political scientist Alexander Markarov told Panorama.am.
The third Eastern Partnership summit will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 28-29 November 2013. It will bring together heads of state or government from the 28 EU member states with those of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The expert thinks that a document will be signed at the summit fixing the European direction in Armenia’s foreign policy.
“I think the European direction and its significance will be fixed in our foreign policy as well as the need to maintain bilateral ties and to look for new ways for cooperation will be stipulated in the document,” he said.
