Armenian government to pay tuition fees of vulnerable students
Beginning January 1, 2014, the Armenian government will pay tuition fees for vocational education of vulnerable students from border and high mountainous regions. This decision was adopted at a cabinet meeting today.
Addressing the cabinet meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said that the accessibility of education is a key way of fighting poverty.
“This decision will allow vulnerable children to get access to education. This is a serious political decision and there is a need to present it to the public with all details,” the PM said.
