Minasyan: Karabakh is de facto Customs Union area
With Armenia’s territory being a Customs Union area, goods imported to Armenia will enter Karabakh duty-free, as well as goods manufactured in Karabakh will enter Armenia and other Customs Union member states. Karabakh is de facto a Customs Union area, Republican MP Gagik Minasyan told a press conference in Yerevan.
He said that discussions with the participation of Customs Union member states in Minsk made it clear that there cannot be a customs house between Armenia and Karabakh.
“That statement is very important because as a result of it, Karabakh’s area becomes a Customs Union area,” the MP said.
