Hrazdan TPP 5th power unit ready for operation at full capacity
After the welcome ceremony for Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Presidents of Armenia and Russia went to Gyumri State Drama Theater which is hosting the third Armenian-Russian Interregional Conference.
A Panorama.am correspondent reports from the site that before addressing the participants, the Armenian and Russian leaders established a video contact with the staff of 5th power unit of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant (TPP) through a screen and were told that the power unit is ready for operation.
Mr Putin asked what capacity the TPP has. After receiving the answer, the Presidents wished success to the energy unit.
Hrazdan TPP’s 5th power unit was put into experimental-industrial operation in January 2012. The modern technical solutions make it a unique construction not only in Armenia but also in the region.
