Vladimir Putin arrives in Gyumri
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at Gyumri airport, where he was met by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in an official welcome ceremony. A military band played the national anthems of the two countries. Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin greeted Armenian and Russian delegations.
At the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin is paying a state visit to Armenia. Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Serzh Sargsyan. The two Presidents will attend a number of events in Yerevan and the city of Gyumri, including Armenian-Russian Interregional Conference, will visit Gyumri’s Russian military base. A number of agreements aimed at boosting bilateral ties will be signed during the visit. Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin will give a joint press conference to discuss the results of the visit.
