Armenian, Azeri Foreign Ministers to meet tomorrow in Kiev
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet tomorrow in Kiev on the sidelines of the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian told reporters on Tuesday.
“We will try to advance the negotiation process. The sides’ willingness to settle the process is of course very important, but a realistic approach to the settlement is no less important. Such an approach can be based on the proposals of the Presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries presented in five statements,” Nalbandian said.
The Armenian FM noted that Armenia has announced that it stands for exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on the principles and proposals included in those five statements.
“If the Azeri side shows a similar attitude, then it will be possible to advance the negotiations and come nearer to the conflict settlement,” Nalbandian stressed.
