Armenian, Azeri Foreign Ministers agree to continue talks
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov in Kiev.
The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office joined the talks later, Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
Based on the results of the November 19 meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna, the Co-Chairs continued discussions with the Ministers to push forward the peace process, exchanged views on possible measures to ease tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.
The Ministers and the Co-Chairs agreed to continue discussions on Karabakh peace process in the coming weeks. In that context, the Co-Chairs revealed their intention to visit the region soon.
The Ministers stressed the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group format and thanked the Co-Chairs for their consistent efforts towards peaceful settlement of the conflict.
