Romanian Ambassador presents credentials to Serzh Sargsyan
Today newly appointed Ambassador of Romania to Armenia Sorin Vasile presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
The President congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in deepening Armenian-Romanian relations and strengthening the friendship between the two peoples. Serzh Sargsyan noted that friendship of the Armenian and Romanian peoples is a strong base for the development of interstate relations and Armenia is interested in its continued nature.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of cooperation in bilateral as well as multilateral formats. The parties stressed the important role of the Armenian community, which has its considerable participation in the public, political and cultural life of Romania and in the development of Armenian-Romanian relations.
President Sargsyan and Ambassador Vasile also discussed the potential and opportunities for the development of bilateral economic ties, the presidential press service reported.
