Reisi: Iranian people in general do not trust Western powers
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s political stance differs from policy of the former President. Rouhani’s top priority was to ease tensions between Iran and the West, which would lead to lifting sanctions against Iran, Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Reisi told a press conference on Friday.
Speaking about the deal on Iran's nuclear program reached between Iran and P5+1 in November in Geneva, Iran’s Ambassador said that the main aim of Geneva talks was to build confidence and establish Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear activities.
“The Iranian people in general do not trust the Western powers which use dual standards,” Mohammad Reisi said, adding that the Iranian people blame the West for the sanctions which affect not only Iran but also those countries which cooperate with Iran.
