Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convened a meeting of the NKR Security Council on December 9. Issues related to the draft food security concept and Telethon 2013 were on the agenda of the meeting.

The President presented the course and results of the Telethon and gave an assignment to the government for appropriate implementation of Vardenis-Martakert highway’s construction.

NKR Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and chairman of the NKR National Statistical Service delivered reports on the draft food security concept.

In his speech, the Karabakh President considered food security among the crucial components of the country's security, noting its special importance for Artsakh taking into consideration the existence of many military-political factors.

The President approved the draft food security concept, requesting the Security Council Secretary to start the approval process of the document according to the established procedure and with corresponding assignments, reported the Central Information Department at the Artsakh President’s Office.
