Iranian embassy in Baku calls on Azerbaijani MPs to learn lessons from Saddam Hussein’s destiny
“The Iranian embassy in Baku has criticized the anti-Iranian expression of the Azerbaijani MP,” the Iranian ISNA news agency reports.
The spokesman of the Iranian embassy to Azerbaijan Seyyed Mohammad Ayatollahi has touched upon the Azerbaijani MP Rafael Husseynov’s anti-Iranian expression and has noted in particular, “Those who voice baseless thoughts over Iran should learn lessons from destiny of Saddam Hussein.”
The correspondent of the Iranian source adds, “Rafael Husseynov has expressed insidious and separatist thoughts about Iran in an article published in Azerbaijani “525” newspaper, putting under suspicion the territorial integrity of Iran.”
The ambassador of Iran in the interview given to Eslami Sesi news agency expressed his concern about the conferences with anti-Iranian content and noted in particular, “A conference was held last month in Istanbul, where discussions were held on collapse in Iran. MPs of Azerbaijani Parliament have participated in this conference with anti-Iranian content.”
