Manoyan has no expectations from Davutoglu’s visit
I have no expectations from Davutoglu’s Yerevan visit because this is not a visit to Yerevan, but rather a participation in a meeting taking place in Yerevan, Giro Manoyan, Director of the ARF bureau's Hay Dat and political affairs office, told a news conference in Yerevan.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will arrive in Yerevan on December 12 to attend the BSEC Summit.
According to Manoyan, Davutoglu agreed to visit Armenia in an attempt to show that there is an ongoing process in Armenian-Turkish relations. Turkey tries to make an impression that Davutoglu will pay an official visit to Yerevan and that some shifts could take place in Armenian-Turkish relations, Manoyan said. He stressed that Turkey has not changed its hostile attitude to the Armenian people, but until 2015 Turkish media will give misinformation saying that there are some developments in Armenian-Turkish relations.
