ICRC representative: Armenian side has no Azerbaijani civilian war prisoner
The representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Azerbaijan Ilaha Huseynova stated that there is no Azerbaijani civilian-war prisoner on Armenian side. "There is no name on our list," said the ICRC representative.
As the site “Modern.az” notes, according to her, on the contrary, there is an Armenian civilian prisoner of war in Azerbaijan, and the Red Cross representatives have last met him on October 23.
"When saying a war prisoner, we mean an enemy soldier. In the conflict zone also civilians can be captured, but they are not given the status of a prisoner of war. Currently there is one war prisoner in Azerbaijan and family of defectors, consisting of 5 people," said Huseynova.
