Davutoglu made a successful show in Yerevan– expert
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu made a successful show in Yerevan, Turkish studies expert Artak Shakaryan says.
Davutoglu attended the 29th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) member states in Yerevan on December 12.
“Representatives of leading Turkish media came to Armenia with Davutoglu as they were part of the show,” Shakaryan told reporters on Saturday, adding that Davutoglu is now in an advantageous position, with the international media speaking a lot about him and his messages positively, with praises and applause.
Shakaryan also said that the meeting between the Armenian and Turkish Foreign Ministers should not have been held behind closed doors. Besides, he said, the Turkish FM gave a press conference following the meeting, so the Armenian Foreign Minister or his spokesman should have also met with Armenian reporters.
