James Warlick: Armenian-Turkish relations are not related to Karabakh conflict settlement
Armenian-Turkish relations are not connected with the Karabakh conflict settlement, stated American co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick yesterday evening commenting the question of the reporter of Karabakh-open.info at a briefing in Stepanakert, on the possible role of Turkey in the Karabakh conflict settlement process.
As the Karabakh-open.info reports, James Warlick stated that "if Turkey wishes to play a role, then it should be positive for all parties, and which will be aim at establishing regional stability, peace and prosperity."
Asked by journalists about what the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs expect from Turkey, which till now supports only one of the parties, the American co-chair answered, "We are the members of the OSCE Minsk Group and we will do everything possible to reach a common settlement and establish a stable peace in the region."
Yesterday the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), James Warlick (USA) and Jacques Faure (France) visited Stepanakert, where they had a two-hour conversation with the NKR President Bako Sahakyan.
