Haykakan Zhamanak: Cadre changes in Constitutional Court
Armenian judge in the European Court of Human Rights Alvina Gyulumyan will resign and be appointed member of the Constitutional Court, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
Alvina Gyulumyan’s term in ECtHR expires in January 2015, but she will quit her post ahead of time due to the fact that there will be two vacancies for a judge in the Constitutional Court. Member of the Constitutional Court, ex-Minister of Education and Science of Armenia (1991-1992) Valery Poghosyan and ex-Minister-Head of the Government Staff Manuk Topuzyan will retire.
Who will replace Ms Gyulumyan in Strasbourg is still unclear. David Harutyunyan is viewed as a likely candidate.
