Decision on banning entrance to Milli Majlis with Smartphone contradicts to Azerbaijani Constitution
Decision to ban the MPs and visitors to enter the Azerbaijani Parliament with "smart" phones contradicts the constitution of Azerbaijan and the law "On the status of the MPs," MP Fazil Mustafa told the Azerbaijani news portal "Haqqin.az".
According to him, this decision cannot remain anonymous and must be published on the website of the Parliament of Azerbaijan.
"The decision about the ban should be sent to the MPs in a written form in order to be able to dispute it in the court. If it continues in this way, then not only "smart" phones will be banned in Milli Majlis, but also the smart people," Fazil Mustafa said.
As previously "Voice of Russia" reported, spokesman of the Azerbaijani parliament Akif Tevekkyuloglu stated about the ban on bringing in the Smartphones. Restriction will affect not only deputies, but also journalists and other visitors of the Parliament. The ban does not apply to simple phones that are not equipped with a camera and a full-fledged browser.
During the autumn session journalists recorded on Smartphones how the MPs vote instead of the others.
These shots were circulated in all the media and called criticism of the deputies.
