2014 will be decisive year, says Heritage member
2014 will be a decisive year for Armenia in terms of foreign policy: the agreement on joining the Customs Union is to be finalized by May and by next January every effort will be made so that Armenia becomes a member of the Customs Union, Heritage party secretary Stepan Safaryan told reporters in Yerevan, adding that meanwhile Europe and the West will not sit idle and there will be a hot struggle for Armenia and the region.
Regarding domestic political life, Safaryan said that although the elections are over in Armenia, all political forces are preparing for the next parliamentary and presidential elections.
“Armenia’s political life is becoming very active. Those political forces which are unhappy with the current authorities try to make use of the domestic situation and the strengthening of external factors to achieve the resignation of the government,” the Heritage member said.
