Armen Ashotyan on Robert Kocharyan’s interview
There is no need for such harsh criticism of the assessments and comments concerning the period of 1998-2008 as there is no implication in those assessments and comments, Armenian Minister of Science and Education Armen Ashotyan told reporters, while commenting on the latest interview of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan.
Commenting on the rumors that Robert Kocharyan tries to return to politics, the Minister said, “I think that this issue is not a subject for discussion. First of all, Kocharyan said that he will come back under three conditions: grave situation in the country, demand of the people and his own decision. I cannot say anything about the third condition, but I can say that the first two conditions are absent. This is a political discourse and economy is only an occasion to speak of politics. Life shows that politicians speak about economy only when they want to solve political problems."
