No ceasefire violation fixed during contact line monitoring
On January 15, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the line of contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the northern direction of Kuropatkino settlement of the NKR Martouni region.
From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Hristo Hristov (Bulgaria) and Irzhi Aberle (Czech Republic), as well as by staff member of the Office Peter Svedberg.
From the opposite side, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson in-Office Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and William Pryor (Great Britain).
The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule. No violation of the ceasefire regime was fixed. However, the Azeri side did not lead the OSCE mission to its frontlines.
From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, the NKR MFA press service said.
