Hraparak: Raffi Hovannisian’s research center to return to normal work
Raffi Hovannisian-led Armenian Center for National and International Studies will return to normal work and reports about its sale have nothing to do with reality, Manvel Sargsyan, director of the center, is quoted as saying by Hraparak.
“The center, founded by Raffi Hovannisian in 1994, faced serious financial constraints and the danger of closure as the U.S.-based board of trustees stopped financing it. Rumors persisted that Raffi Hovannisian intends to put up for sale the four-story building of the center for $1.5 million. Experts left the center in recent months and Raffi Hovannisian flew to the United States searching for donors for the center. He came back with good news. We will continue working in a more actual way, and will try to restore everything.”
