Armenia, Japan to lift visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders
The agreement on visa-free regime for diplomatic passport holders between Armenia and Japan will enter into force in the near future.
The importance of the agreement as a factor boosting political dialogue was highlighted during the political consultation between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Japan held on January 15 in Tokyo, co-chaired by Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan and Ambassador Norio Maruyama.
The two sides discussed a number of bilateral issues, in particular issues concerning political cooperation, trade and economic ties, cooperation within international organizations, cultural and educational cooperation.
They stressed the importance of the decision of Japanese government, endorsed on December 24, 2013, on opening embassy in Armenia, Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
