Haykakan Zhamanak: Health Minister applies to Prosecutor General’s Office
Haykakan Zhamanak writes that Armenian Health Minister Derenik Dumanyan, who said earlier that he will sue member of Armenian National Congress parliamentary faction Lyudmila Sargsyan, has applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office. The Health Ministry press service said that yesterday.
The Minister asked the Prosecutor’s office to investigate Lyudmila Sargsyan’s statement that kickbacks in medical institutions range from 5% to 10 % and to accept the case for consideration if the information is confirmed.
“The Ministry will not allow anyone to voice groundless statements and disgrace the system. Otherwise the Ministry will act as prescribed by the law,” the Ministry said.
Lyudmila Sargsyan, for her part, told the newspaper that she is ready to have legal proceedings with Dumanyan.
