Enemy’s adventures will be stopped – Sharmazanov
Azerbaijan took an impermissible action ahead of the Paris meeting of the Armenian and Azeri Foreign Ministers and the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group scheduled for mid-January, delivering yet another blow to the Karabakh peace process, Deputy Speaker of Armenian parliament Edward Sharmazanov has said.
Sharmazanov’s statement came after Azeri subversive groups tried to infiltrate the territory of Karabakh on the night of January 20, as a result of which Armenian junior sergeant Armen Hovhannisyan was killed.
“Such attempts of subversion are a result of Azeri leadership’s anti-Armenian policy and the mediator countries should realize that thus Azerbaijan endangers the peaceful settlement of the conflict. I am convinced that any attempt of adventure by the enemy will be stopped and Artsakh will always be an Armenian territory,” Sharmazanov said.
