Armenian man killed in Euromaidan protest
An activist, Armenian by nationality, was shot dead Wednesday on Ulitsa Grushevskogo in Kiev, a street near the Cabinet office and parliament on which clashes have taken place in recent days, Ukrainskaya Pravda reports.
The Armenian Embassy in Ukraine confirmed that the killed activist was Armenian, named Sergey Nigoyan. Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan reported this to Panorama.am, adding that his citizenship is still unknown.
According to reports, Nigoyan, 20, was born in Ukraine and resided in Dnepropetrovsk. He joined the Euromaidan protests on December 8.
