What actually took place during contact line monitoring?
The Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry dismissed the statement of Azeri Defense Ministry’s press service that the Armenian side fired shots during the January 23 planned monitoring of the contact line.
Speaking to Panorama.am, NKR Defense Army spokesman Senor Hasratyan said that Azerbaijan’s statements are “inconsistent with logic and have nothing to do with reality.”
Hasratyan stressed that the Nagorno-Karabakh forces observe the ceasefire regime and open fire only in order to suppress enemy’s aggression. For more information, the spokesman advised to apply to the Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
On Jan. 23, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Hadrut direction near Horadiz settlement. The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule. No violation of the ceasefire regime was fixed. However, the Azeri side did not lead the OSCE Mission to its frontline, the press service of NKR MFA said.
