Azerbaijan fails to lead OSCE mission to frontline
On Jan. 23, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the Hadrut direction near Horadiz settlement.
From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Hristo Hristov (Bulgaria), Irzhi Aberle (Czech Republic) and William Pryor (Great Britain).
From the opposite side, the monitoring was conducted by Field Assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and staff member of the Office Peter Svedberg.
The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule. No violation of the ceasefire regime was fixed. However, the Azeri side did not lead the OSCE Mission to its frontline.
From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense, the press service of NKR MFA reported.
