Serzh Sargsyan: We expect impartial approach from international community in Karabakh issue
The settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict does not seem realistic unless Azerbaijan gives up its vicious policy of bellicose propaganda, arms race and provocations along the border, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at a press conference with Czech President Miloš Zeman while on a state visit to Czech Republic.
Serzh Sargsyan said that Armenia appreciates the constructive position of Czech Republic supporting the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group towards a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“It is time for the Azeri side to show a constructive position in the peaceful settlement of the conflict. Mr President, I must stress that we expect an impartial approach from the international community in the peaceful and long-lasting settlement of the conflict, or at least we expect them to abide by the principle of not damaging the process,” President Sargsyan said.
“We held the same opinion with President Zeman that regional conflicts must be settled peacefully and through negotiations,” Armenia’s President said.
