Hraparak: Citizens complain about delay of benefits
Family benefits provided by the government are being delayed. Hraparak daily received many calls from citizens who asked the newspaper to find out why their benefits are delayed and when they will be paid. The citizens said that the benefits are their only hope as utility service employees threaten to turn off electricity and gas unless they pay for them.
Hraparak’s correspondent discussed the issue with head of Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Public Relations Department Hasmik Khachatryan. Mrs Khachatryan said that benefits for January were delayed as the government approved the amount of 2014 benefits only yesterday.
