Armenian-Azeri relations discussed with PACE President
Head of Armenian delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan met with new President of PACE Anne Brasseur on the sidelines of the PACE Winter Session held on January 27-31 in Strasbourg. David Harutyunyan said this at a news conference in parliament.
According to him, they discussed Armenian-Azeri relations during the meeting. When asked if the issue of Armenian POW Hakob Injighulyan was discussed during the meeting, Mr Harutyunyan said that the issue of Armenian captive is not within PACE mandate but member of Armenian delegation Naira Zohrabyan raised that issue during the PACE plenary session.
As regards the issue of whether Anne Brasseur plans to visit Armenia, David Harutyunyan said that she will not visit Armenia in the near future, and will first pay a visit to Azerbaijan, which will assume chairmanship of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers next year.
