There were reports about the elimination of few more Azerbaijanis in Syria. As the Azerbaijani news agency "APA" reports, according to information posted on the "mujahideen" websites the majority of those killed in Syria by the governmental troops are Sumgait residents.

"Mujahideen have recently circulated the names and photos of Azerbaijanis killed in Syria. They are presented under the following names: Hanzalah Sumgaitly, Abdul Waheed Sumgaitly, Abdulmalik Sumgaitly, Adu David Sumgaitly and Abdu Razzaq," the article reads.

"APA" also reports that newly circulating video records depict Azerbaijanis who are involved in fights in Syria. "In these video records is depicted how Azerbaijani militants seize the oilfield that is under control of the independent Syrian army. This armed group is led by an Azerbaijani, who is called "Khattab Al Azeri" writes the agency.

As noted in the article, "Al Khattab Azeri" states in the video that those fighting in the ranks of the independent army on Syria have nothing to do with Islam: "They call themselves "Jeishiul Islam", but they are not related to it as well." "Al Khattab Azeri" has accused those fighting in the ranks of the independent Syrian army of serving the interests of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.

The article says that in recent years intrigue has been irrupted between the Syrian independent army fighting against Bashar al-Assad and a grouping of Islamic State of Iraq and Sham. At the moment they are fighting with each other.

Note that recently there has been an increase in the reports of elimination of Azerbaijani terrorists. Since the beginning of 2014 APA Azerbaijani News Agency has reported about the elimination of 23 terrorist from Azerbaijan in Syria.

Since last year the media has reported about liquidations of Azerbaijani terrorists in Syria. In early April of 2013, the Turkish sites have reported that about 30 terrorists from Azerbaijan were killed in Syria while by January of 2014 according to Azerbaijani News Agency APA the number of liquidated Azerbaijani terrorists in Syria equaled to 100. Azerbaijani terrorists even placed an online video-record in the Internet calling for "jihad”.
