Zhamanak: Harutyun Sargsyan goes on hunger strike
Harutyun Sargsyan, the son of former police chief of Gyumri’s Ani district, who is suspected of killing the fiancé of former Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s daughter, went on hunger strike yesterday. He is being held in the isolation ward of the National Security Service in Yerevan Kentron penal institution. By taking this extreme measure, he tries to prove that he has nothing to do with the murder. He claims that the charge was brought against him in an attempt to conceal the real murderer, Zhamanak writes.
