Haykakan Zhamanak: Officials ordered to visit military units
Armenia’s senior officials have been ordered by the authorities to visit various military units so as to raise the martial spirit of soldiers, Haykakan Zhamanak writes. This is perhaps related to the recent tensions on the border, the newspaper notes.
Two days ago, parliament speaker Hovik Abrahamyan together with members of the NA Defense Committee visited a military unit in Tavush province, where he told servicemen that the President, the National Assembly and the government care for their problems and presented them with gifts.
On Thursday, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan discussed conducting combat operations and use of long range weapons at a consultation with Armenia’s military leaders.
