Artsakh leader visits military units
On February 17, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan visited a number of military units located in the north-eastern part of the republic and got acquainted with the life and service of the soldiers, the security system and the activities aimed at strengthening the frontline.
According to Bako Sahakyan, army building has been and will remain among the key priorities of state building process. He highlighted in this context the protection of borders, considering it one of the most important components of maintaining stability and peace in the whole region.
Thereafter the President visited Madaghis-1 hydropower station and inspected its activities.
The President stressed the importance of that power facility in ensuring energy security and sustainable economic growth, giving concrete instructions for the proper implementation of the activities.
Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Aghabekyan, Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan and other officials accompanied the President.
