Oil production decreased in Azerbaijan significantly
In January 3.6 million tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan, which by 5.3% is less than the result of the oil produced in the same period last year, Azerbaijani news portal "Haqqin.az," reported referring to the State Statistics Committee.
"Industrial production has also fallen by 6.7%, however the non-oil manufacturing sector has increased with 5.6%," the material reads.
Oil production in Azerbaijan reduces since 2011. Thus, if in 2010 the country produced 50.8 million tons of oil, in 2011 the oil production decreased by 10.8% to 45.4 million tons. In 2012 the oil production declined by 5.3% to 43 million tons. During the first 9 months of 2013 the oil production in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.9%. However, according to the official data of Azerbaijan the volume of the oil production in the republic had increased by 0.3% in January-October 2013.
