Mr Demoyan gave detailed information to the guests about the Armenian Genocide, familiarized them with the documents on the Armenian Genocide.
The British lawmakers shared their impressions with journalists.
Head of the delegation, member of the House of Commons John Whittingdale noted that every visit to Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial is a moving experience for him. “We are approaching the centenary of the Genocide, and we intend to mark it in Great Britain. It is very important that what happened should not be forgotten. That is why we are here.”
Member of the House of Commons Stephen Pound said that he would say a lot, but according to him, the words are not important, but it is important what they have in their hearts. He said: “We are approaching the centenary anniversary, many hoped to forget that fact, but we have come to prove that the world has not forgotten. The entire civilized world should get together to recognize that horrendous crime which happened in the Western Armenia. I am with the Armenians in my heart, though I have no Armenian blood. I am proud of the Armenians who have suffered a lot, but have never been defeated.”
