Hovannisian: Heritage has not left ‘battlefield’
Today is February 18 – a dividing line between the past and the future, a day of national revolt and never of state adventurism, Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian said beginning his ‘annual national address’ on the occasion of the first anniversary of the presidential elections in Armenia.
Then he proposed holding one minute's silence in honor of those who died for the sake of the homeland.
After the one minute silence, the opposition party leader, who has just recently returned from the United States, went on with his speech, saying that Heritage “has not left the battlefield” and their post-election struggle has not abated.
According to Hovannisian, Heritage has always stood and will continue to stand by the public and the civil movements which struggle for their rights.
