Haykakan Zhamanak: Harutyun Sargsyan continues hunger strike
Harutyun Sargsyan, the son of former police chief of Gyumri’s Ani district, who is suspected of killing the fiancé of former Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan’s daughter, continues the hunger strike, a spokesman for the Justice Ministry's Penitentiary Department, Gor Ghlechyan, told Haykakan Zhamanak.
Sargsyan went on hunger strike seven days ago. He is still in good health, according to the spokesman.
The aim of the hunger strike is to prove that he has nothing to do with the murder.
The prosecution demanded 15 years in prison for Sargsyan.
