Zhamanak: Yerevan deputy mayor to become rector of Theatre Institute?
Following the death of rector of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema Armen Mazmanyan, by an order of Armenian Education Minister Armen Ashotyan, prorector Hovik Minasyan was appointed to serve as acting rector until the Ministry holds open competition to fill the vacancy, Zhamanak writes.
According to the newspaper, several names are mentioned as likely candidates: Armen Elbakyan, Hakob Ghazanchyan, Ruben Babayan and some others.
However, the newspaper writes citing reliable sources, Yerevan deputy mayor Aram Sukiasyan, who formerly was the prorector of the Institute, has been chosen for the position.
