Gazprom Armenia should review its policy – Makaryan
Gazprom Armenia Company should review its policy, according to the chairman of the Republican Union of Employers of Armenia.
“On September 3, 2013, when the Armenian President, in Moscow, announced the decision to join the Customs Union, the Presidents of Armenia and Russia, among other issues, touched upon the gas price, saying that it will not go up. So, gas was an argument for Armenia to establish relations with the Customs Union, whereas Gazprom Armenia may damage these relations with its current policy,” Gagik Makaryan told reporters.
As regards the visit of Gazprom chairman Alexey Miller to Armenia and his statements in Armenia, Makaryan said that they pursued a political purpose – to mitigate the situation in connection with the creation of commissions to examine gas price formation and calorific value of gas.
