Georgian President visits Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial
As part of his official visit to Armenia, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili visited today Genocide Memorial in Tsitsernakaberd, where he laid a wreath at the memorial for the Armenian Genocide victims and planted a fir tree in the Memory Park.
Mr Margvelashvili was accompanied by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan, Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan and some other officials.
While in Armenia, Georgia’s President will meet with Armenian leaders and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
