Zhoghovurd: Deputy Finance Ministers accumulate considerable wealth
All four Deputy Finance Ministers of Armenia have accumulated considerable wealth, Zhoghovurd writes. According to the income declarations, First Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan has no movable or immovable property and has AMD 28 million in his bank account. Chief Treasurer Atom Janjughazyan indicated AMD 13.6 million and USD 11,000 in his income declaration, Suren Karayan AMD 18 million and Liana Hunanyan AMD 6.5 million and USD 23,000.
Finance Minister indicated AMD 1,000,000 and USD 55,000. “In fact, the Minister prefers American currency, while his deputies prefer Armenian Dram,” the newspaper notes.
