War unlikely between Russia and Ukraine – Iskandaryan
It was obvious that in the current situation, Russia would play its own game and part of that game would be related to Crimea, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan told a news conference in Yerevan while commenting on the Ukraine events.
According to the expert, negotiations are underway and war is unlikely to break out between Russia and Ukraine.
Head of Consent center David Shahnazaryan said for his part that the next 72 hours will be decisive.
Referring to Moscow’s decision to use the Russian armed forces in Ukraine, Shahnazaryan said, “From strategic point of view, the consequences will be catastrophic for Russia. Yesterday, Russia lost much more than it spent on the organization of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.”
