Mamikon Khojoyan case: Against Legal Arbitrariness NGO to sue Azerbaijan at ECtHR
Against Legal Arbitrariness NGO is planning to file a lawsuit against Azerbaijan at the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in connection with the Mamikon Khojoyan case, NGO chairwoman Larisa Alaverdyan told a news conference in Yerevan.
“I think we will manage to prepare the lawsuit within a week. We will use the instruments of UN. Our organization is a member of an international network through which we are going to spread the information about what happened. This case should be a subject of discussion of the international community,” Mrs Alaverdyan said.
Numerous traces of violence were found on the body of Mamikon Khojoyan, a 77-year-old Armenian citizen who was held captive in Azerbaijan and was released on March 4. He had a broken arm, a gunshot wound and bruises.
