Armenian economy may be affected by depreciation of Russian ruble
The Ukraine events and the depreciation of the Russian ruble may affect the economy of Armenia, according to Armenia’s Economy Minister.
The current developments in Ukraine may lead to a decrease of the amount of remittances from Russia to Armenia, Vahram Avanesyan told reporters in Yerevan.
Besides, according to him, Armenia may face problems with exports.
The Minister admitted the possibility that Armenia may have to make changes in its economic policy, stressing that it is necessary to understand the impact of the current situation on Armenia’s economy in long-term perspective.
