James Warlick hopes Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents will meet this month
OSCE Minsk Group U.S. co-chair, James Warlick in his Twitter micro blog expressed hoped that the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet soon.
“We hope the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet this month. Only they can address the most difficult issues of peace,” stated co-chair.
Previous meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan - Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev, took place on November 19 last year in Vienna. They met in a bilateral format, which was followed by a working meeting attended by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs (Russia, France, USA), as well as the personal representative of the OSCE chairman. In the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group was noted as a result of the meeting that "the Presidents agreed to give impetus to further negotiations aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement, and instructed the foreign ministers of the two states, to continue the work along with the co-chairs on the basis of what has already been done, in order to intensify the peace process; they agreed to meet again in the upcoming months."
