After visiting Turkey and Sweden, U.S. Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Ambassador James Warlick tweeted two important messages.
1. It was useful to hear Turkish Government views on regional issues, including Nagorno Karabakh. We remain committed to the Minsk Group co-chair format.
2. Thank you Sweden and Carl Bildt for your active engagement on conflict resolution. Let's continue our work together in the S. Caucasus. Nagorno-Karabakh
Panorama.am conducted an interview with James Warlick about what was the purpose of holding consultations with Turkey and Sweden and what active engagement he meant speaking about Sweden, and what role can Sweden and other countries without OSCE MG co-chairs play in this issue.
Below we present his answers:
"We were pleased to travel to Ankara and Stockholm in recent weeks to consult with our fellow members of the Minsk Group and hear their views on the conflict and regional issues.
The international community cares immensely about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and we look forward to further discussions with partners and allies. With new embassies in Baku and Yerevan, we welcome Sweden's increased engagement in the region."
