Uncontrolled greed is destroying Armenia’s nature – ecologist
The phenomenon of ‘uncontrolled greed’ was manifested in the years of independence and, particularly in three areas, began destroying Armenia’s nature and natural resources, ecologist Karine Danielyan told reporters in Yerevan.
According to the ecologist, small hydropower plants, mining industry and urban development pose a threat to nature.
Speaking about small hydropower plants, member of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction Lyova Khachatryan said for his part that farming, rather than electricity, has great strategic importance for Armenia.
