Armenia to have new Criminal Code
On order from Armenian Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan, a working group has been set up to develop the concept and draft of a new Criminal Code, the press service of Justice Ministry reports.
The concept will be developed and presented to the Justice Minister by April 10, 2014 and the draft will be presented by July 1, 2015.
The working group will participate in public debates on the issue and examine concerned bodies’ and organizations’ proposals, including proposals of international organizations.
After the government sends the draft of a new Criminal Code to the National Assembly, the working group will also participate in parliamentary debates on the issue.
